Just like Leslie Knope, I love breakfast foods and enjoy going to brunch. I try to hit as many new places as possible. I need to see what’s out there! I mean what if I am missing out on something delicious?!
Here are a list of a few of my favorite Long Island breakfast places.
Located in Babylon Village. I don’t think this place has had a makeover since it opened. 1950’s diner with hearty portions. Sit at a table or sit at the counter but be prepared to wait if you are going on a weekend! This no frills diner always has a line. This is my favorite place to get breakfast on the island!
Located in Farmingdale. Part brewery, part restaurant this place does a HUGE breakfast buffett. There is something for everyone. They have German dishes and American standard. Cold and hot. Sweet and savory. They do two seating’s one at 11 and one at 1p. Make sure to make a reservation.
Hip joint in Massapequa. They serve brunch on the weekends but offer an array of other foods during the week. They are sleek, stylish and inexpensive. Did someone say boozy brunch?
If you are looking for a classy and upscale brunch this is your place. I had never even heard of it until a friend mentioned it but the food choices are varied and the interior is nice! Located in Commack off Motor Highway
It had been closed for a while due to a fire but it is back with a vengeance. Serving up all your classic breakfast dishes with beautifully made coffee drinks. If you love coffee this is your place. Sure, I love breakfast food but coffee might be my first love.
Opening its second location in Bayshore (I went to Patchogue) they might just rival Brownstones for best coffee drinks. The portions are huge here too but be prepared to wait. They are super popular with good reason. It will be a hard time making a food decision here.
What is your favorite spot on Long Island to grab breakfast? Point me in the direction of food!
