This year, begin a new holiday tradition by making your family the cutest Bunny Pancakes on Easter morning!

Ingredients:

  • Pancake Mix
  • Bananas
  • Strawberries
  • Almonds
  • Chocolate Chips

What to do:

  1. Make your pancakes as you normally would! I try to keep my pancakes to a moderate size, approximately the size of a fist.
  2. Once you have made all of your pancakes, it’s time to begin creating your bunny!
  3. Peel a banana and cut it in half. Take one of the halves and slice it down the middle to create two, thin, banana bunny ears.
  4. Take the other half of the banana and begin dicing it up into small circular pieces. These will act as the eyes, nose and feet.
  5. Slightly overlap two pancakes, this will form the head and the body.
  6. Add the banana ears on top of the head, and then add the diced bananas where the eyes, nose and feet should be.
  7. Next, add chocolate chips to the eyes to imitate pupils!
  8. On top of the banana nose, add a bright red strawberry.
  9. Then underneath the nose, put two sliced almonds for buck teeth!

You’re all done! You’ve created the cutest bunny breakfast!

Bunny themed pancakes and waffles were a huge trend on Pinterest this month, so I just knew I had to give them a try. I was inspired by all the different ways bakers had approached this idea; some used chocolate syrup, blueberries, and even cheese to create their bunny pancakes. There really isn’t a “right” or “wrong” way to make these pancakes. All you need is a few simple ingredients and a little creativity!

This is such a sweet breakfast to make for your kids and family on Easter morning, so I do hope you give it a try!

Happy Easter, everyone!
