In honor of BLI’s Summer Jam we are going to take a closer look at each one of the artists hometowns in hope of inspiring some summer wanderlust in each of you!

Let’s start with the guys who are the farthest away from Long Island: 5 Seconds of Summer. They come all the way from the land down under. I know the flight length might be discouraging but Sydney has so much to offer!

Check out the Sydney Opera house

One of the most iconic buildings in the world is worth taking a look at. It opened in 1973 and now has up to 40 shows a week to check out. Whether you are going to a show or just want to sign up for a tour you wont be let down by what you see!

Pet a koala

Australia is home to some of the most unique animals around. It is not every day you can cozy up to a koala but in Sydney you can go to an animal park and hold one. Don’t worry they clip the claws.

Eat a kangaroo

Try new food when you are there. Aussies love their burger joints and you can try a kangaroo burger. Don’t feel too bad about it. Kangaroos are like cows in AU, they are literally everywhere and the population is incredibly high.

Walk across the Sydney harbor bridge

Talk about a once in a lifetime experience. You can climb across this bridge. If you are afraid of heights face your fears and head across. They provide the gear and it can take up to 3 ½ hours to make it to the other side.

Soak up the sun at Bondi Beach

If there is any reason to go on a vacation, the beach is the best one. Sydney is home to Bondi Beach, famous because it is so beautiful. You could spend days soaking up the sun and relaxing after you spend a daring day climbing the Sydney Harbor Bridge. But beware of those great white sharks!
