Exfoliating plays a huge part in a healthy skin care routine. It helps get rid of dead skin and make room for new skin cells to grow and give us that youthful glow! We often forget that our lips, some of the thinnest skin on our bodies, also needs some love and care too! With these sugar-based lip scrubs, you can gently heal chapped lips and bring back moisture for soft, kissable lips!

Recipe 1: Strawberry Sugar Scrub

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 1 strawberry
  • 1 tsp. honey

What to do:

  1. Chop up your strawberry into teeny tiny bits.
  2. In a bowl or reusable container, combine all three ingredients.

Recipe 2: Coffee Sugar Scrub

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tbsp. honey
  • 1 tsp. coffee grinds
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar

What to do:

  1. In a bowl or reusable container, combine all three ingredients.
  2. If too dry, add 1/2 tsp. of water.

Recipe 3: Lemon Ice Lip Scrub

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tbsp. of lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. honey

What to do:

  1. In a bowl or reusable container, combine all three ingredients.

Since we’ve used natural ingredients, I recommend you to keep these lip scrubs in the refrigerator so they don’t spoil. It may be a strange thing to keep in the fridge, but the upside is that every time you use these scrubs it will be cold and refreshing on your lips!

I have been making lip scrubs for years now and these recipes are my top three. The strawberry scrub gives a pink tint to your lips which I love, and the lemon scrub tastes just like an italian ice. However, my favorite out of all three lip scrubs is the coffee and brown Sugar scrub. I love the taste of coffee and it gives you an electric boost if used in the morning. Not only are these scrubs good for your skin, they taste delicious!

Give these a try! Thanks for reading!
