I love drinking wine. I prefer red and my favorite kind is Malbec’s. They come mostly from Argentina and I went all the way there just to drink them in abundance. I really enjoy quiet wine bars. I am always on the search for good wine and good food! All of these places have extensive wine menus.

The Vine

The first wine bar I ever went to on Long Island! They have great flights whether you want whiskey, bourbon, wine or even martinis they have an assortment of varieties to choose from. Their menu has tapas and cheese plates, two of my favorite things. It is dark and romantic inside!

Located in Merrick

This is my favorite place for dinner. More than just a wine bar it is a full restaurant. It makes me feel like I am somewhere in France. The outdoor seating even has heaters for the winter. Very European.

Molto Vino

Located a few steps from Barrique this was a wine and cheese place but has since expanded its menu to offer pizzas, sandwiches and more. The inside is very modern with nice cushioned, tall chairs and tables. In nice weather they open all the doors and windows. It is a great place to have a date!

I recently went to Michaelangelo’s in Massapequa. The inside is snug but they also offer outdoor seating. I am a sucker for outdoor seating or a good roof top bar. Right near the train station is not too romantic. The cheese plates are enormous. I was fearful it wouldn’t be enough but once it arrived I was not disappointed.

Tapas, cheese and wine. This place is located in a strip mall but is so much more charming on the inside than it’s location would suggest. The menu for food is almost as big as its wine selection. It is always busy. I suggest making reservations. If you want to do brunch they have a prixe fix for $20 that is totally work it.

Bin 56

I love coming here before a show at The Paramount, but they stay open until 2am so it is easy to go for after show drinks as well. It is on a quieter street in Huntington Village. The small plates selection is great! May I suggest the Brussel sprouts?

I no longer live in Nassau County so I haven’t explored as many wine bars there. This place is a nice Italian restaurant in the Gallery shopping center. It is spacious and classy! The menu has tapas but a full regular food menu as well. The walls are decorated with wine bottles. So whether you want a glass of wine and something small or want to indulge in a full meal you can do it here!
