There’s nothing tastier or creamier than a batch of mashed potatoes. Especially when you add garlic and Parmesan cheese to the mix. This recipe for Garlic Parmesan Mashed Potatoes is so simple and so tasty, no one could ever refuse a bite!
3 large potatoes
1 cup of milk
1 Tbsp. of butter
2-3 cloves of garlic
1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese
Salt and Pepper
Grated my own fresh Parmesan block from the market!
What to do:
Peel and dice the potatoes into chunks. Leave a little bit of skin on some for added color and texture later on!
Place the diced potatoes in a medium sauce pan and cover with water. Add salt and bring to a medium heat.
Once the potatoes begin to boil, lower the heat and cover the pan.
You’ll know the potatoes are ready once you touch them with a fork and they easily fall apart. This will take about 15-20 minutes.
Strain your potatoes using a colander.
Now that your potatoes have been removed from the saucepan, on low heat add the milk and diced garlic.
Once the milk begins to boil, remove it from the heat and add your potatoes!
Use a potato masher or a fork to blend the milk, garlic, and potatoes together. Now is the time to add the Parmesan cheese to the mix as well.
Mashed potatoes wouldn’t be complete without butter, so add a Tbsp. and blend.
Serve your potatoes with a sprinkle of parsley and enjoy!
