Life on the road can be a lot of fun… the new cities, the new friends.. and so many new experiences! But if you’re a foodie like me, some of the best times on the road come when eating!

These past couple of weeks I’ve been on my “Boys Of Summer Tour” kicking off in Boston.. making its way to home sweet home Long Island.. then DC, Philly, Delaware, Atlanta, North & South Carolina, Port Lucie, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, Miami, and Orlando! Yeah a bit of a traveling you could say.

Something that can be a bit tricky is eating clean and healthy while on the road because most of the road stops are filled with fast food spots… which I absolutely love! BUT.. I’m trying to keep the 1 ½ abs I’ve got so I’m really attempting to avoid the chicken nuggets and fries this trip… it’s been a struggle. I’ve caved several times.

Starting with breakfast.. there’s is nothing better than finding out that your hotel has a FREE continental breakfast! Especially the ones where you can make your own waffles!!! I swear I’ve never had a better waffle than the ones I’ve made in the lobby of a Hampton Inn hotel. FACT!

BUT I must say today on the way to the venue in Fort Lauderdale I ate a Chicken Chaser Wrapito from Chicken Kitchen (“healthy fast food”) (their slogan not mine) and it was actually delicious.

Then on the bus, I’ve stocked up my backpack with the necessities… Oreos (double stuffed of course), granola bars, Doritos (ONLY cool ranch), and of course gum and tic tacs which I guess aren’t a “snack”, but they have kept my jawline looking pretty sharp.

However, when you’re down south you just CAN’T say no to a Cracker Barrel. Any and every time we pass one I make the bus driver stop because… do I really need to explain?? Those chicken dumplings… ahhhhh!!!! Then you get the Mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, and grits on the side.. wow.

I guess what I’m trying to say with this blog is… I’m eating.. WELL. Go out and have a fun and safe road trip before the end of your summer and let me know what you eat on the road!

Sincerely,

A very hungry singer @nicktangorra
