Trips to the White House have become a stop on the never-ending whirlwind that is the Kardashian lifestyle. After her recent appearance with Donald Trump, Kim has been dishing on some major issues with unfair and overly harsh prison sentences.
In her appearance on the Wrongful Convictions podcast, Kim reportedly explains why she chose to defend the case of Christopher Young – a Tennessee native sentenced to life over a drug case gone wrong.
Kim explains, “Yesterday, I had a call with a gentleman that’s in prison for a drug case—got life. It’s so unfair,” she said. “He’s 30 years old. He’s been in for almost 10 years.”
It started with Ms. Alice, but looking at her and seeing the faces and learning the stories of the men and women I’ve met inside prisons I knew I couldn’t stop at just one. It’s time for REAL systemic change pic.twitter.com/kdKr8s6lJW
Kim reveals Young was sentenced so harshly due to mandatory regulations, and that she’s spoken to the case’s former presiding Judge Kevin Sharp. Sharp told The Tennessean in 2017 that he was working to get Young released from prison.
